Hills and valleys Jireh| Lyrics

I’ve walked among the shadows
You wiped my tears away
And I’ve felt the pain of heartbreak
And I’ve seen the brighter days
And I’ve prayed prayers to heaven from my lowest place
And I have held the blessings

God, You give and take away
No matter what I have, Your grace is enough
No matter where I am, I’m standing in Your love
On the mountains, I will bow my life
To the One who set me there

In the valley, I will lift my eyes to the One who sees me there
When I’m standing on the mountain, I didn’t get there on my own
When I’m walking through the valley I know I am not alone

You’re God of the hills and valleys
Hills and valleys
God of the hills and valleys
And I am not alone

You are Jireh, You are enough
Jireh, You are enough
And I will be content in every circumstance
You are Jireh, You are enough
If He dresses the lilies with beauty and splendor

How much more will He clothe you?
How much more will He clothe you?
If He watched over every sparrow
How much more does He love you?
How much more does He love you?

Imagine me, being free
Trusting You totally, finally I can
Imagine me
I admit it was hard to see
You being in love with someone like me
Finally I can
Imagine me

Notes

This worshipful reflection echoes the journey of a soul that has walked through deep shadows and seen the light of brighter days. In the pain of heartbreak and in the joy of blessing, the presence of God has remained constant. The lyrics affirm the truth that “The LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD” (Job 1:21, KJV). Whether on the mountains or in the valleys, God’s grace is always enough, and His love sustains. “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me” (Psalm 23:4, KJV). He is Jehovah Jireh, the God who provides. As Matthew 6:30 (KJV) reminds us: “Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field… shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?” In these words is the assurance of being fully seen, fully loved, and never alone. Finally, the soul reaches a place of healing and freedom, where it can “imagine” living in peace with God’s love — a powerful reminder that in every circumstance, we are held in the hands of a faithful and loving God.
