1. Elijah’s God Still Lives Today

Verse 1
There was a man in olden days,
Elijah was His name,
Because the sin did so abound
He prayed and stopped the rain,
And for three years or more were told,
They never had a shower,
For God in heaven answered then,
Elijah’s prayer of power.

CHORUS
Elijah’s God still lives today
Oh blessed be His name
And when His children to Him pray
He answers still the same,
Yes He controls the universe
All things obey His word,
And when by faith we call on Him,
Our humble prayer He hears.

Verse 2
He gathered all the priests of Baal,
To call upon their god,
They cried to him the whole day long,
He answered not a word,
But when Elijah called on God,
Before the people there,
The Lord sent fire from heaven above,
Because He heard his prayer.

Verse 3
Then to the top of Carmels mount,
The holy prophet went
And prayed unto the Lord again,
That rain once more be seen,
He poured his heart unto his God,
Nor was his prayer in vain,
The clouds in heaven again were seen,
God sent a mighty rain.

2. He Ain’t Never Done Me Nothing But Good

Chorus
He ain’t never done me nothin’
Done me nothin’ but good, nothin’ but good (whoa)
He ain’t never done me nothin’
Done me nothin’ but good, nothin’ but good

Verse 1
Well, Job was a righteous man, the devil couldn’t doubt it
He surely loved his savior, there was no doubt about it
Satan cursed his body from his feet to his head
Then he told him all his children and his cattle were dead
Then, Job’s wife said, “Why don’t you curse your God and die?”
But Job said, “Woman, you speak like a foolish child”

Verse 2
Well, I gave my heart to Jesus, and I took Him as my savior
Cast my lot with the chosen one, then started out toward heaven
Soon I was forsaken, my friends left one by one
But the good Lord walked right beside me and he never left me alone
He fed me when I was hungry, He cheered me when I was sad
And He has been the dearest friend this child has ever had

Verse 3
History tells of Poly carp, a martyr for the gospel’s sake
They built a fire around his feet, then tied him to a stake
But the fire could not consume him, so they pierced him with a sword
The blood ran down, put out the fire, but still he praised the Lord
All these a-years I’ve served Him, He’s done me nothing but good
Well, I won’t repent, and I won’t recant, just tell me why I should?

3. He Didn’t Throw The Clay Away

Verse 1
Empty And Broken, I Came Back To Him
A Vessel Unworthy, So Scarred With Sin.
But He Did Not Despair, He Started Over Again
And I Bless The Day, He Didn’t Throw The Clay Away.

Chorus
Over And Over, He Molds Me And Makes Me
Into His Likeness, He Fashions The Clay.
A Vessel Of Honor, I Am Today,
All Because Jesus Didn’t Throw The Clay Away.

Verse 2
He Is The Potter And I Am The Clay
Molded In His Image, He Wants Me To Stay.
But When I Stumble And When I Fall, And My Vessel Breaks,
He Just Picks Up All The Pieces, He Never Throws The Clay Away.

4. That Sounds Like Home To Me

Verse 1
Somewhere just across the Jordan River
Is a place of ever lasting joy and peace
Where the stream of life is flowing there forever
And the crown of life is waiting there for me

Chorus
And that sounds like home to me
Right where I want to be
There’ll be no tears to fill our eyes again
The hills will echo with the story
As we sing of His grace and glory
Where the saints of God will be
That sounds like home to me

Verse 2
Oh, they say there’s only joy inside that city
And little children playing by the tree of life
No pain, no disappointments there will hurt us
And Jesus Christ himself will be the light
